SERVPRO of North Tempe and SERVPRO of Mesa East

Saving money on water bills and protecting the environment are two good reasons to keep tabs on the taps – the water taps, that is. Make sure you don’t have any leaks elsewhere, either where the pipes connect to the appliances or within the walls. For the latter, you’ll have to vigilant for changes in water bills, damp spots on walls, floors, or ceilings, or for the tell-tale musty smell of mold. Puddles are an obvious clue. If your pet is guilty, the smell won’t be the same. If you suspect water damage, call for help. At SERVPRO of North Tempe and SERVPRO of Mesa East, we are nearby, are open 24/7/52 for emergencies, and have substantial training and experience in the remediation of water damage and in helping to restore homes and other property from water damage. In fact, we are one of the leaders in restoration in this location.

Certifications

First, some definitions. When we say “restoration,” that includes cleaning, disinfection, and remediation.

Cleaning gets rid of most of the visible dirt, grime, and debris. It uses soap/detergent and a good scrubbing. “Most” is not “all” the germs, which is why we need to …

Disinfect areas, which kills the remaining bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other small forms that non-scientists (like us!) call “germs.”  There might still be things to fix, which is the next step:

Remediate is basic repair work. It blurs into Restoration, which is more complicated repair work. How did we end up with two words for the same thing? We don’t know.

Okay, our water-damage-related certifications are:

  • Water Damage Restoration
  • Structural Drying
  • Construction Industry Training/General Training from OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration)

If your house has water damage, we are ready and able to help restore it.

Trivia

In the “Star Trek” universe, a favorite Klingon meal is gagh, a slimy serpent-worm dish, followed by warm blood wine. Suddenly fasting seems like a great idea.
